Happy Mothers Day to my beautiful mom Virginia and what an amazing lady she is. I am not sure what I would have done or continue to do if not for this awesome mommy. She helped me parent my children, when I was just a young teen who knew nothing. When I got divorced her and my father helped shuttle them off to school, always went to their functions, helped me if I needed someone to take them to the doctor and most importantly to love them unconditionally and completely.
My sweet Levi was critically injured in a car accident when he was 20, he was in the hospital over 2 months. My mom spent everyday of the 6 weeks I was there in a camp trailer, supporting me, and my daughter Kayla, lending support to Levi’s dad and stepmom, being the anchor she has always been to me. 6 weeks in the summer in a camp trailer….what an amazing woman.
She is a big reason my gorgeous, quirky awesome and weird daughter is who she is today! She never ever gave up and always let this girl know she is awesome and can do anything!!!
I want to give a little shout out to my daughters bestie Lara and Dustin. This little family is so amazing, Grayson is this awesome, amazing, funny, sweet little boy who has been diagnosed with Autism. Maggie is his sweet, funny as heck, and outgoing. They have helped Grayson become a smiling, happy little boy and have the wisdom to know Maggie needs to not get lost in the shuffle. I have seen that happen, not intentionally but it becomes consuming. What an amazing family they are, thank you for letting me be a part of your life.
I have so many awesome and amazing mommies in my life. I don’t want to name or put their photos on here without permission but let me tell you, I have women in my life who have adopted, become the step parent, gave birth to, have furry kids or just decided to reach out and love someone who needed it and I have learned so much from them. You know who you are and I love each of you as if you were my own kid or sister or mother. Happy Mother’s day.
